Program Overview

  • This program is a 7-week virtual course designed to teach high school students Information System curriculum. Students meet twice a week virtually to review topics including: - Information Systems in Organizations - Hardware and Systems in Technology - System Software and Application - Software, Internet, Intranet, and Extranet - Network System Technology, Enterprise - Business Systems, Decision Support - Systems and Specialized Information System - Systems Development - Data Management - Business, Social, and Ethical Implications and Issues - Introduction to Programming At the conclusion of the course students will have the opportunity to take the CLEP Information System examination to receive college credit.

Benefits

  • At the conclusion of the program students have an opportunity to apply for a waiver to pay for their CLEP examination. A closing ceremony occurs at the end of the program where students are recognized and will receive certificates for their various academic achievements.
